The Spring Fashion Parade on 15th October By Ruby
We were welcomed at the door by Lois and Marlene who gave out tickets for the lucky door prize, while inside there was champagne and orange juice available served to us by three handsome waiters: Cec, Leo, and Graham.
Spring had arrived and so had the spring showers, but to brighten our day Cliché Fashions came along with all the glorious colours and styles of clothing to wear. Slacks of different sizes and lengths, skirts for day wear, with a variety of tops to suit all occasions. Orange, black and yellow were popular.
The five lovely models: Pauline McKeown, Lee Steventon, Lynne Main, Elwyn Conboy and Cynthia Lydiard, enjoyed their tasks and wore their garments to perfection, while Ray Stolz played suitable tunes on the piano as they paraded.

There were around sixty ladies who supported this delightful afternoon, proudly presented by Marlene Barrah and Beryl Reeves, who were happy with the response. Each person brought a plate of food to share when we sat down to enjoy our “cuppa”. There were some vouchers given to lucky winners, valued at $20, to be taken off any garment of their choice.
We thank Cliché Fashions for their generosity and to Marlene and Beryl who organized for them to come along and we also thank the wonderful audience that attended.
